Alison Price Lang is a musician, actor and community organizer based in Asheville, NC. She has been a performer since childhood, beginning with dance and theatre at the age of 5. Alison’s love of music took her to New York City, where she studied Performance with a World Music focus at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
Since moving to Asheville last year, Alison has become extremely focused on on-camera work throughout the region, facilitating multiple photography projects as well as short films and music videos with a variety of collaborators. Her main goal is to build an Artist Collective that allows like-minded creators to network with one another and find the perfect collaborators to bring their projects to fruition.
As a songwriter, Alison takes inspiration from a wide variety of sources - from the loping lyricisms of Bill Callahan to the raw romantic vocals of Morrissey and the detailed humor of David Byrne. She believes all stories deserve to be told, and strives to encompass both the absurdity and beauty of her life and of those she loves in her songs.
